it had to pass through several walls and ultimately hit him in one of his lungs. initially, no one knew that he was hit. the family will come up and went around the house to investigate after they heard what they thought were fireworks. there were bullets. they went around checking things out and all the sudden he came out of the room and that is what he had a bloody t-shirt. we spoke with his 16 year old brother and here is what he had to say. >> i saw my brother coming in with blood. he was still conscious and did not know what was going on. when the ambulance came, he

calmed down. >>will: the older brother tells me that they were doing their best to keep them away, he was not initially in pain after a few moments his stomach was hurting. what he was taken to hospital, it seems that he was still conscious. he is at oakland's children hospital. he says his younger brother has gone through three surgeries already. according to an uncle at a hospital, he called back to the family members to say that his nephew should be fine and should survive the injuries. at this point, they do not have a motive or any suspects. >>will: there are eight people who live at this small house. there were bound beds but apparently, they share the bottom bunk bed.

to describe what happened. around 5:30 p.m., a chevy cavalier somehow plowed into one of these bombs. it is unclear what happened. he may have been backing into the spot and that is what he hit the accelerator knocking the pump out. at that point, the entire gas station went up in flames. there were three or four cars filling up at the time. there were two cars completely incinerated. the good is is no one was hurt.

looking for who ever robbed a stake in southern san jose earlier this week. the man and to the wells fargo branch tuesday afternoon and threatened a teller demanding money and then took off. >> a veteran san jose firefighter hospitalized since last month after suffering a heart attack is now out of the hospital. the 40 year old collapsed as fire crews were gaining the upper he hands on a fire that happened at the same catholic cathedral on east santa clara. he received a round-the-clock support from fellow firefighters who took shifts >> with just over one month left in the ski this season, health and safety officials are not taking any chances.

an 11 year-old was struck with a bullet. will tran is joining us live to talk about exactly what happened. >> it happened here on american roads. decency that several bullets pierced this law. according to family members they counted at least 16 or 17 bullets. here is video of the other side of the wall. eight people live here altogether. four people actually sleep on one bed. the bullets went through this master bedroom, went through a headboard and went through the door of the parents and had to pierce another wall and on the other side of the wall was where some 2011 year old was sleeping.

the caution tape is still up and you can see the damage. given the circumstances, it is amazing that no one was hurt. let's take a look at the amazing video that was shot by a witness. a chevy cavalier may have hit the gas instead of the greeks and hits a pocket. the entire gas station went up in flames. one witness said she heard the explosion, all and all three cars were completely damaged. the gas station attendant was able to turn off the emergency shutoff valve, so the fire did not get any bigger. the good news is that no one was hurt. not even the driver of the cavalier. officials and martinez said
